Roderick joined HMV in October 2015 and worked as a Tax Manager in our Shreveport location until 2018. His daily tasks included tax preparation in the following specialities: oil and gas taxation, closely-held businesses, estate and fiduciary taxation. Since 2018, Roderick has taken on the role as Vice-President of HMV Wealth Advisors. Prior to joining Heard, McElroy & Vestal, Roderick worked for Smith Pugh & Seal LLP and has over 30 years of experience in accounting.

Roderick graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Currently, he is a member of the Tax and Estate Planning Council of Shreveport and is an active member in the community through serving on the Board of Directors of the Shreveport-Bossier Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee as well as at Calvary Baptist Church. He leads a weekly devotional in the office for Heard, McElroy & Vestal employees.
